Self-care
If you feel sick, you should rest, drink plenty of fluids and eat healthy. Stay in a separate room from the rest of the family and use a separate bathroom, if possible. Regularly clean and disinfect the surfaces that are touched.
Every member of the family should follow a healthy lifestyle at home. Eat a healthy diet, get some sleep, stay active and stay in touch with your loved ones over the phone or online. Children need more love and attention than adults in these difficult times. Follow, as much as possible, your daily activities and programs.
It is normal to feel sad, anxious or confused during this crisis. Talking to people you trust, such as friends and family, can help. If you feel overwhelmed, contact a health consultant or worker.
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a recently discovered coronavirus.
Most people with COVID-19 experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without specific treatment.
METHOD OF TRANSMISSION
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hold in the air and quickly fall to floors and surfaces.
You can become infected by inhaling the virus if you are close to someone who has COVID-19 or by touching an infected area and then your eyes, nose or mouth.
